Are you serious that you pay $300 for having their teeth done???? Wow! My equine dentist does them for somewhere around $40 if no sedation is needed. If sedation is needed I have to get the vet in. In that case I'd just have the vet do it, but I don't think it would be over $100 for the vet to come and do it with sedation.

I get a 20% discount and Clover's dental was $250 recently. To be fair she had 3 extreactions and had to be re-sedated 3 times(LOL she is an appy and liked her drugs ) So if Buddy needed extensive work it sure could be over $200. Pam does your vet hand float with rasps or do power floats with power tools? Everyone up here anymore does power floats......it seems like that should be LESS expensive as less labor is required

My vet and the dentist use rasps and yeah it should cost less if it takes less time. It's weird how different things are in different parts of the country isn't it?

Juliane,
We have an appointment on March 24th (Sat) at 9:30. You can come a little later if you like as it will probably take me at least an hour with my horses.

And, if there is any way you can get Heidi up here with you,we could get her teeth done also. Let me know!
