My general consensus is that he is a very hot, hyper type of Arabian. When around my mare, Dandy, he completely loses his brain and cannot pay attention to anyone on the ground or on his back.
When I have taken him for a ride in the mountains (far away from Dandy), he was EXCELLENT. However, when I have taken him to drill (with Dandy), he has usually been pretty much hard to handle and HOT HOT HOT.
I am considering taking him to drill this weekend since it's an unofficial practice due to it being Easter. Since it's unofficial, I'll leave Dandy at home and see if that helps.
I really think that what Buddy needs is lots of time and lots of miles to get him back in the swing of things. I think he would be an excellent amateur endurance horse as he seemed to love trotting through the trails and certainly never seemed tired.
Since I don't really have alot of time right now to be putting miles on him (I'm focusing on getting Teddie and Class going), should I go ahead and advertise Buddy anyways, stating he needs a EXPERIENCED rider who is ok with the classic Arabian personality? Or should I try to lease him out? Or maybe find someone who wants to come out and ride?
What should I do?
