Settling In...

This stunning 6 year old sorrel 14.1 hand mare was rescued from the feedlot in May 2006. She has been started under saddle and is available for adoption to the perfect home.

Settling In...

I picked up Class today when I dropped off Romeo. While Class was not on the official Waiting List for training, taking her was one of the only ways to make it possible for Trish to adopt Romeo.

I met Trish last May when she asked if I could pick up and QT Class for her. I did, and very much enjoyed Class while she was in my care. Since then, I've kept in touch with Trish periodically, though much more in recent weeks.

Last September, I went out to take some photos of her and her beautiful gelding, Finn. While I was there, we decided to see what Class knew, training wise, in order to help Trish place her. I put her first ride on her - which I will post about tomorrow - and we made some tentative plans to start marketing Class.

Since we both got busy, that didn't happen. So, here we are.. In my experience, Class is very easy to work with and is eager to have a job. She is also an attractive size, age and build - as well as a stunningly beautiful mare. I think it will be very easy to place her.

Trish and I will continue to work together to make sure her training needs are met and her adopter is the perfect fit.

Here she is today, settling in for a very short stint in my front paddock with Ace, while I cleaned her stall. She's immediately gotten herself in heat - though with a stud muffin like Ace, can you blame her? :P Good thing Ace has lost all studly desires!

She sounds like a nice little mare. You will have her eating out of your hand in no time at all.
I look forward to watching her progress.

It was hard to say goodbye to this girl - I am going to miss her outgoing, loving nature, her curiosity and that cute mischevious side - she has the best personality! Romeo's needs are much more up my alley though and as Juliane said, Class is very ready to go out and experience the world and be someone's riding partner and best friend. She has had all of the basics on her and I have ridden her a handful of times after Juliane's first ride on her. She pretty much takes everything in stride and is really fun to be around :D Juliane is a perfect person to get her going under saddle so that she can land her own person.....or family (she's very good around kids). With some more miles, she will make a super horse for someone:) Again, thank you Juliane for doing this - it is going to be fun to watch her progress
