Her first big outing!

This stunning 6 year old sorrel 14.1 hand mare was rescued from the feedlot in May 2006. She has been started under saddle and is available for adoption to the perfect home.

Her first big outing!

I decided to take Class to drill practice tonight. I figured I would get there extra early and then hopefully get the opportunity to put a ride on her. However, when I got there, I found out that there was a 'working cow horse' reining show going on.

While I was bummed that I didn't get to put a ride on Class, she did get to learn a few things. She got to see what cows were! She also learned how to be ponied and how to stand tied & saddled for a few hours.

She was very cute and it was very obvious that she wished to be out with the team as we cantered by her on the rail. I think she is going to love having a job!!!

Oh, and I just had to take a few pics of some of the show entries - there were some very small, young children on these amazingly well-trained horses out there chasing cows. It was impressive. :)

Oh wow...I have a horse for sale (she's actually Joanna's, who adopted Connor, Sanka and Clover) and she would be IDEAL for that. She is a 14.3 palomino who has done trails and games. QH/Morgan. Very easy to ride but high headed, more of a gaming/cow chasing type than a pleasure horse. Can I e-mail you a flyer to post at that arena the next time you go?
