Rejoining the herd...

This stunning 6 year old sorrel 14.1 hand mare was rescued from the feedlot in May 2006. She has been started under saddle and is available for adoption to the perfect home.

Rejoining the herd...

Well, Ms. Class has spent the last 2 months with Ally. Ally has done a fantastic job with Class and I think all of us are bummed that the time has come to an end. Unfortunately, none of the potential homes panned out for Class, and with Ally moving to a new barn, it was time for Class to come back to me.

I will continue working with Class as much as I can, including starting to bring her to drill practice. While we were at Ally's barn to pick up Class, Ally rode Class around to display Class' new abilities. Class is obviously alot more rounded and balanced, as well as responsive to her rider. She's as safe as any horse I've ever seen, if anything, a bit lazy!

We even threw Cassidy up on her to ride for a moment or two. Cassidy wasn't quite used to having to really push her mount forward, but fairly quickly got the hang of it and had Class walking and trotting around the arena. I have to admit, a few of us are crossing our fingers in hopes that Cassidy may be ready to upgrade to a 'horse', from Sweetie. While Sweetie has been an AMAZING first pony for Cassidy, she's also started to display some very dangerous habits while riding in a group of other people. I simply am not sure how to fix this problem. So, it's good to have other potential options!

I brought Class home this afternoon and turned her out with the other horses. She immediately fit right in, getting along with everyone, particularly since she already knew Dandy, Ace and Sweetie.

Oh she is adorable. She looks really proud to be carrying Cassidy around. Crossing fingers it might just work out with her and Cassidy.

Good job Ally!

She looks adorable with Cassidy! That would be a horse she could ride for many years to come.

They are so cute together! At least Cassidy's legs are a few inches beyond the saddle flap, so that she can actually ask her to move forward  And Ally, the confidence and pride that Class has now is so wonderful to see, thank you for everything you've done for her!
