A quick update on Shadow!

I had the opportunity to go to Ellensburg today with my girlfriend/drill team mate, Jenny. She wanted some company, and I had been putting off driving over the pass due to the poor weather. However, I was anxious to go see Shadow and see how he was doing in his new home.

I was pleasantly surprised at the plump wooly mammoth that greeted me when we arrived at Anna's place. The last time I saw Shadow, he had a very short coat and didn't look like he would be growing much of a winter coat at all. Boy, was that NOT the case! LOL :)

He looks good - happy and healthy, but most of all, he looks relaxed. He was not on the defensive like he was the entire time he was with me and while at Dave's property. He was incredibly laid back and seemed content and secure in his environment. I was also pleased to see he was in fairly good weight (it's not just all winter fur!).

I can't believe how lucky both Shadow and I got in meeting Anna. I was very worried about Shadow's future prior to meeting her. She is definitely his guardian angel!

Wow, what a difference. He's lost that tucked up greyhound look. It does look like he's in the right place with the right person. Good work, Julianne.

Oh my gosh, he looks soooo happy  His eye is completely different now! It looks as though Anna has found a way to crack that tough nut!!
