He's currently still pretty baby-ish physically. He's approximately 14.2hh tall and still has quite a bit of filling out to do. I'm also hoping he will grow somewhat taller!

His previous owner has done alot of groundwork with him and he is up to date on everything. He's most definitely been loved and well taken care of.
I picked him up last Saturday and brought him home. He is out with Ace, who is doing his best 'big brother' imitation. On Sunday, we decided to go on a quick trail ride. I put a saddle on Ché, who thought that was no big deal. His previous owner has done a great job of getting him ready for this stage in his training!
Then I started ponying him out on the trails. It took a little bit for him to realize that he should listen to me and that herd dynamics do not come into play when being ponied, but very quickly, he was walking next to me very politely!
When we got back, I pulled his saddle off and got on him bareback. He was great about this too, though I think is previous owner had done some work on this as well. She has made my job very easy

He still seems too immature physically for me to officially start him, so he'll mostly be growing up this summer. I'll be bringing him along when we go to events so he gets used to going places, but will be waiting until he's grown up enough before we start riding much.
So far, I am absolutely in love with his coloring and minimal white, his bald face and his curious personality. I cannot wait to see what kind of gem her turns into! Here's a few pictures of him from when we got home Saturday afternoon. Isn't he adorable?
