They are all 1/2 arab/TB/QH crosses. He started out with two really nicely bred mares, a TB and an Arab. He bred them both to high class stallions. The TB had a filly, the Arab had a colt... ugg... Then it went from there and now there are 8. The quality where it started shows, each one has very correct conformation, great legs and are all very good size animals. Stout with bone. All are mares except one just gelded 3 year old. The mares more than likely ARE in foal. Some may just be grass fat. But the newly gelded 3 year old sired at least one last year, so it would be a big surprise is none of the others were in foal.
However, Sophia, who was then named "Ginger", was headed to the Enumclaw auction, as she was the last one without a home and time was running out. In her original picture, she looked like she could be mid-way through a pregnancy - this pic was taken in June 2010 and used to advertise her:

I didn't want her to end up at the auction, so stepped in and intervened the trip to Enumclaw. Here's a picture of her a few days after she'd been at home with me:

To me, she looked like she had gained weight and her belly had dropped. She was also not halter broke and barely tame. She would tolerate being pet for a moment or two before leaving. Since she was likely pregnant, I spent most of my time with her doing the basics. She had not ever had her feet done, so teaching her to pick up her feet was a big deal.
I think that she is going to turn out to be a very nice horse, as she has a great build, large expressive Arabian eyes and is very sweet as she is learning to trust in humans. She's also learned that she loves grain and is now the most vocal at feeding times.
