Experiencing the great outdoors

This gorgeous black stud was part of the bucking stock string that was at the Yakima Feedlot in December. Will enter training the beginning of May 2006.

Experiencing the great outdoors

Rory and I had a pretty easy day today, though I did introduce him to all kinds of new things. We took a walk down the road, passing lots of pedestrians with dogs on leashes, bicyclists, cars driving by, mailboxes, trash cans, and other scary things. Rory is a VERY level headed guy and completely relaxed. I fully believe that he may be a good kids horse, with his easy going personality. His only fears right now are humans, which he seems to be getting over more and more each day :)

After out uneventful walk, we came back to the barn - then I let him graze in the tall grass beside the pasture. I think he thought he'd died and gone to heaven. He even ignored Patience when she came over to give him googly eyes. (They are both in love with eachother) :P

Here's a couple pics :)
