On her way!

Gary and Jean just left with Emma. Emma was such as good girl as I caught her in the pasture and then led her to the trailer. Here she is with Jean:

After switching halters and making sure they had Emma's nice leather halter and leadrope that Nickie sent, we loaded her up. She was a bit nervous about loading up, but in less than 10 minutes, she climbed inside. I was really proud of her! I stood inside giving her some loves and saying my goodbyes, before hopping out.

As they prepared to leave, I choked up. Part of me was incredibly worried for this beautiful girl - I feel like I haven't done my part to really set her up for success. I would love to one day go visit her and see her relaxed and happy!

Happy trails, Emma!

It is sort of bitter sweet isn't it. If I would have been home I would have cried... Heck I teared up here at work. Always so hard to let them go, even though you know it will be good for them.

Happy and Safe trails Miss Emma!

Now those are happy photos! I am so glad that Emma found her special place.

Juliane, you gave this sweet horse confidence and courage to keep on going. Remember how terrified she was when you got her and she wouldn't even walk through the gate? Sometimes when you see them everyday you forget how far they have come. Ms. Emma is lucky to have spent time with you.

I just heard from Jeannie...they're about half an hour from me and I am glued to the window for their arrival. I'll post after she settles in and makes her introduction with Peach & Spice & Scarlett. :)

I can't wait to hear how it all went. It's sad to see them go, but you made a good choice and you can rest easy on that part. :)

Came across this quote...made me think it was written just for Emma <albeit a very long time ago>

"Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses.
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC) "

Safe journey Emma .... tears here to Nickie...nice job everyone !!!!
