Margie went to her forever home last night!

I took Margie over to Natalie's today - we are still awaiting final approval from the CBER officials, but after speaking with Debbie at the feedlot yesterday, it sounded like nothing was standing in the way of the approval. So, in order to relieve my pasture of some space, Natalie generously offered to take Margie sooner, rather than later, even though the application approval wasn't completed yet.

Margie was a perfect lady as she was introduced to Natalie's long time friend, Lady, who is a much older TB mare that she's had for at least 13 years. Both mares seemed very much alike and there was none of the typical squealing or ear pinning. They greeted each other like old friends and went right out in the pasture to graze near each other.

It was a very satisfying moment. I'm hoping that nothing happens with the app that I will need to bring Margie back to my place, as she seems to know she's in her forever home Here's a couple pics:

well today margie showed her true colors. the vet had to come out and stich up my mare and do some other things as well. Margie had pinned lady in the stall and kicked the living crap out her. margie has been bullying lady around but not to this extent. I just hope that now since lady is gone for about two weeks that she can't get away with type of things. :(
